I trained as a Primary School Teacher at Nene University College (as it was called then), Northampton.  I qualified with a 2:1 BA Hons in Primary Education with QTS specialising in Maths.

I began my teaching career in a primary school in Leicester and moved to Norfolk in 2001.  I have worked at several schools around King's Lynn (either on supply or as a full time classroom teacher), teaching Reception to year 6.  

State education has changed so much over the last 25 years, and the pressure upon teachers, school staff and pupils has consistently increased.  In 2018, I cut back my hours by half a day a week to retrain in holistic therapies, and in 2019 I finally left state education.

Sadly, COVID had other plans! I couldn't carry out my holistic therapies and tutored many students online through lockdown. 

I continue to tutor students in KS1, KS2 and KS3 (and a little of GCSE Maths), I have prepared students for verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests for Grammar Schools as well.
